This is the ONLINE event.

Webinar facilitation skills are increasingly becoming a necessity for the modern-day trainer. Its appeal: getting information to a dispersed audience at a fraction of the cost. Its challenges: mastering the technology while getting information to a removed audience in a way that will stick.

Key to facilitating over the web is practice within the environment itself.  Balancing webcams, chat, polling, feedback, even video takes practice -- practice that goes beyond rehearsing the course content. Yet if you're seeking to develop this skill outside of an organization with an active WebEx or GoToMeeting account, practice appears to be costly.

It doesn't have to be.

In this session, we'll tour a free webinar resource that provides the opportunity for you to design and facilitate web training sessions without spending a bundle on the training environment. The skills you will develop will be transferrable to other virtual training software.  Additionally, we'll discuss webinar best practices, as they might be applied within this "free" environment.

About the presenter:

The Total Trainer facilitator of "Engaging Learners in the Virtual Classroom," Paul Venderley has been designing and facilitating webinars for Corinthian Colleges for over four years (and playing around with the medium before that).  He is a Past President of ASTD-Orange County, and currently the Manager of Learning Technology for Corinthian Colleges, Inc.
