Kim-Khue Chieffo, CPLP

Kim-Khue (Kway) has over 15 years of experience teaching software applications for top ranking law firms such as Jones Day and Greenberg Traurig, L.L.P. In addition to her instructor-led and synchronous training experience, she has also designed learning programs and managed software implementations for both corporate firms and non-profit agencies. Kim-Khue holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California at Irvine and an M.A. in Instructional Design and Multimedia Development from Teachers College of Columbia University.

Kim-Khue enjoys sharing real life experiences with theoretical and research-based knowledge in every aspect of her work. As a result, you’ll hear her speak about embarrassing moments with balancing life as she attempts to explain tacit knowledge of an ISD topic. She is excited to share all that she has learned from the trenches and to hear about others’ experiences all in the spirit of “making learning real."

 

Dr. Jo Lynn Feinstein, CPP, CPLP

Dr. Jo Lynn FeinsteinJo Lynn has been actively engaged in individual and organizational performance improvement for nearly 20 years. She has worked with public and private organizations, from startups to Fortune 500 companies.  She holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership and an MBA. She was part of the pilot program and among the first to earn the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) designation and is a Certified Program Planner (CPP). Since then, she has renewed her certification twice and served as a question writer and reviewer for the CPLP knowledge exam.

Jo Lynn has been an invited speaker at conferences and workshops, and was recognized as Educator of the Year by the Ventura County Economic Development Association. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in organization management, communication and training, and currently works as an independent instructional designer. 


Crystal Hyde, CPLP

Crystal Hyde is an Instructional Designer working out of the Chicagoland area for a major oil & gas company.   She manages Learning Solutions projects from initiation through evaluation and continuous improvement.  Her work is supported by a Master's degree in Educational Studies & Social Science, an undergrad in Psychology, as well as her CPLP credentials and diverse background. 

Prior to her current role, she was an Instructional Designer in the telecommunications industry, where she was involved in a major rapid eLearning development project, facilitated distance learning sessions to her peers, updated call center classroom materials like Facilitator and Participant Guides, and supported sales associates in the field by developing fit-for-purpose eLearning.

Before her corporate endeavors, Crystal was fortunate to have been a teacher in a Middle/Senior High School, a K-8 Grammar School, and a Park District Preschool Program.  She is also a self-taught graphic designer, which helped her to get her foot in the door of corporate learning, where she is determined to make her mark on the world.

Crystal is also a married mother of four and a Fastpitch softball coach.

Geri Lopker, MHROD, CPT, CPLP

Geri Lopker is a highly qualified performance consultant in the fields of organizational improvement, leadership, and human resource development. Geri is president and principal consultant of Geri Lopker & Associates LLC, founded in 1995. Her client list includes international corporations, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and Fortune 100 companies.
Geri earned a Master’s Degree in Human Resources and Organization Development from the University of San Francisco in 1995. She earned the Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) international certification in 2003. She earned the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) in 2007. She facilitates internationally for the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), as well as for international clients. She is an instructor for Chapman University and Brandman University, teaching the Human Performance Improvement (HPI) in the Workplace certificate series (she has also earned the HPI certificate), in addition to many leadership and team topics.

Geri is the past president of American Society for Training and Development’s Orange County chapter (ASTD-OC), 2000.

Dawn Mahoney, CPLP


Dawn’s career includes over 20 years of training design and facilitation in several areas including customer service and telephone order processing, client-level training on mainframe systems, software programs, credit and debit card program operation, managing risk, and portfolio development. Dawn joined Brookdale Senior Living in July 2008 and in her present role, her projects include improving communication, coaching, feedback and new associate onboarding while maintaining compliance and state-mandated learning.

Dawn became CPLP Certified in 2006 as part of the “pilot” cohort. She has held several volunteer positions with her local ASTD chapter, as well as having served as ASTD Leaders Conference (ALC) chair for three years and chair of the volunteer team. Most recently, Dawn had the privilege of serving two years on the ASTD Int’l Conference & Expo planning team.


Alan Montague, CPLP


Alan is a qualified and certified trainer with twelve years experience designing and delivering high quality learning events on four continents covering technical and non-technical areas as well as managing a training function that spans customer and internal training and development.   


Alan is a board member and former secretary of the Applied Improvisation Network as well as a former member of the International Alliance for Learning. His specialties include accelerated learning and applied improvisation. 

Alan is an active member of the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) at the National and Chapter levels. He is proud to serve in a leadership role on his Chapter's board as Co-VP of Finance. Alan obtained his Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) in 2011.

 

Mark Myette, MBA, CPLP


Mark is a professional coach who enjoys being part of his clients' journey of self discovery. He also coaches business owners, providing Rapid Impact Solutions to improve sales, efficiency and profits.

Mark has more than twenty-five years business experience spanning learning & performance, leadership, management; call center management, marketing, management/sales education, recruiting, sales, marketing and public relations.  His expertise include consulting, facilitation, management/ leadership skill building, curriculum development, recruitment, selection, non-profit management, professional business-to-business selling skills, negotiation, business, strategic planning, human resources, and coordination of people and resources.

Mark earned his MBA from Emory’s Goizueta School of Business. He is currently a volunteer leader with ASTD and served as the 2011 President of the Greater Atlanta Chapter of ASTD. Currently he is a national advisor to 11 ASTD chapters (NAC) in the South.


Dr. Ken Phillips, CPLP


Ken Phillips delivers all programs and workshops in his signature style: professional, engaging and approachable.

Ken is founder and CEO of Phillips Associates, a consulting and publishing company with expertise in performance management, measurement and evaluation of learning, and sales performance. He has more than 25 years experience designing learning instruments and assessments and has authored more than a dozen published learning instruments. He regularly speaks to American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) groups and university classes. Since 2008, he has spoken at the ASTD International Conference on topics related to measurement and evaluation of learning.

Prior to pursuing a Ph.D. in the combined fields of organizational behavior and educational administration at Northwestern University, Ken held management positions at two colleges and two national corporations. In addition, he has written articles that have appeared in T+D magazine, Training Today and HR.com. Ken earned the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential from national ASTD in 2006 as a pilot pioneer and was recertified in 2009 and again in 2012.


Dr. Kella B. Price, SPHR, CPLP

Kella has 13 years of experience in training and development, human resources, and talent management functions. As CEO of Price Consulting Group, she is a trainer and facilitator.  Kella has published on training delivery, social media, diversity, expatriates, stress, job satisfaction, and employee turnover.  In addition, she has designed numerous virtual training and development tools.

Kella is adept at using learning technologies, including: QR codes, blogging, Twitter, bookmarking tools like delicious, and social media networks like LinkedIn and Facebook. She regularly conducts training on how to use these technologies as a business tool for collaboration and building relationships. Her expertise has been included in several books, including: Virtual Training Basics, The Books of Road-Tested Activities, and Pfeiffer Annual.  She regularly posts via twitter: @kellaprice and authored Twitter for Trainers.

Diane L. Smith, PMP, CPLP

Diane is a principal consultant at Everest CS, a business performance consulting firm located in Orange County, California, specializing in instructional systems design. Her projects have included compliance, safety and risk management as well as software and technology training programs. She has over 20 years of experience in instructional design, training and facilitating, including business, learner and gap analysis and project planning. 

Diane is a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) and Project Management Professional (PMP).  She has designed and presented study preparation courses for PMP and CPLP candidates, and participated in the CAPM® Exam Item Writing conference. Diane has also lectured and provided mentoring to bachelors and masters level students on project management and instructional technologies.


Coline T. Son Lee, CISA, PMP, CPLP

Coline has an international career background spanning 15 years in logistics, supply chain management, procurement, construction, retail sales and software development. Her projects have included instructor led training systems, elearning curriculum, video/interactive formal learning programs, as well as informal social programs that support learning.  

Coline holds a Bachelor of Science degree (magna cum laude) in Business Administration with an emphasis in Information Systems from The Craig School of Business and holds certifications in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Project Management (PMP®), Information Systems Auditing (CISA), as well as the CPLP credential.

Coline also co-hosts the video blog eLearnChat with Rick Zanotti. She is the current VP Marketing for ASTD-OC and spear-headed the chapter's CPLP™ Study Group project. 


Martha Stott, CPLP

After a 15-year stint as a business journalist, Martha launched her training career in 2000 as a curriculum developer for a pharmaceutical benefits company. She quickly realized she'd found her niche: equipping employees to be more effective in their professional roles (rather than writing about companies and people who couldn't get it right). Since then, she has held a series of increasingly responsible training positions, including managing customer service training for Hotels.com, and directing sales and quality training for Classic Vacations, the luxury wholesale division of Expedia, Inc.

In November 2012, Martha joined 8x8, Inc., as senior manager of training and knowledge management for the fast-growing, San Jose-based VoIP telephony provider. She has hired and now manages a team of three trainers.

Martha earned her CPLP in 2008, submitting a work product in Human Performance Improvement. She volunteers with ASTD Golden Gate - South Bay, and has served on various volunteer roles for ASTD National.
