The Myths and Magic of Neuroscience in Business: Applications from Learning Design to EQ

During the last decade, this fast growing field has been connecting neuroscientific knowledge to HR & organizational practices in learning design and delivery, leadership, performance management, coaching, and organizational change. 

Join us for an interactive session to explore the successful ways this complex psychology can be applied to challenges you face as a talent development professional. We will discuss the application of foundational principles, such as the AGES model for learning design, to higher order and more sophisticated applications, such as emotional intelligence.

This program will help you improve your ability to:

  • Understand the foundations behind how the brain works and why it is an important consideration for human development programs.
  • Recognize opportunities to apply neuroscience principles to business needs to improve effectiveness of your programs.
  • Experience a simple and memorable activity that draws upon one of the key elements of Emotional Intelligence that you can use in your organization.

About Our Speaker:

Tim Field, PhD Neuropsychology, began his career in experimental brain research, transitioned to Clinical Neuropsychology and eventually moved into management running a hospital. Utilizing his knowledge of neuropsychology and experience running a business, he brings a unique perspective on how blending psychology, neuroscience and management that can drive peak performance in both individuals and ultimately the entire organization. For the past 10 years he has worked as the Managing Principal of The Field Consulting Group, serving Fortune 50 and Fortune 100 clients in the banking, finance, biotech/pharma, entertainment, healthcare, and technology industries.
