As professionals in the learning and organizational development/effectiveness world, we are well aware of the advantages of having a strong organizational infrastructure. Missteps are more likely to occur when we inaccurately read our client’s needs and/or impose an academic model over delivering relevant and practical solutions. CHOC Children’s embarked on the process of developing and implementing an integrated talent management strategy to strengthen its infrastructure and build its ability to leverage its key resource- people. In order to make this happen, the OD team took a customer-centric approach, involving stakeholders, and designing for the customer experience.

In this session we will …

  • Share a brief review of the broader talent management strategy
  • Discuss how we ensured the program met the client’s needs
  • Focus specifically on how we took an iterative approach to continually refining the solution
  • Present the advantages of establishing process partners
  • Share lessons learned
