Please note that this meeting is being held on the 3rd Wednesday to allow our leadership and members to attend the ASTD 2013 International Conference and Exposition on May 19-22 in Dallas.

Learn how to write five activities (alternatives to lecture) that will help you produce high learner involvement and retention! In this highly interactive session, you learn how to:

  • Write directions and rules of a learning tournament
  • Prepare the learner BEFOREHAND for the learning that is to come
  • Develop information search activities with processing questions
  • Create components of an observation activity
  • Craft demonstrations with skill performance checklists to be used in the training environment and back on the job.

Jean Barbazette is Founder, and Melissa Smith is Managing Partner, of The Training Clinic, a Seal Beach, California, training consulting firm founded in 1977.
